The 10th International Conference on Econometrics and Statistics (EcoSta 2027) will be hosted by ShanghaiTech University, Shanghai, China, from 6 to 9 July 2027. The conference will run for three and a half days, starting in the afternoon of 6 July. A tutorial will take place that morning.
EcoSta 2027 will be partially hybrid, with a stronger focus on in-person participation. Some rooms will host sessions live-streamed via Zoom; the remaining rooms will be in-person only.
- Sessions will be in person by default. Organizers may request a hybrid or virtual format, subject to availability, until 15 April.
- Invited speakers should coordinate their presentation format with their session organizers. Contributed speakers can present in person or virtually. Online speakers should follow the instructions in the virtual area.
- Last-minute changes from in-person to virtual are permitted only if the session is already hybrid. Other presentations that can no longer be given in person may be moved to general virtual sessions.
- Speakers do not need to submit presentations in advance. In in-person-only rooms, presentations can be brought as a PDF on USB or downloaded from cloud/email on the room PC. In hybrid rooms, speakers may use the room PC or their own laptop via Zoom. See the virtual area for online participation.
- Poster sessions will be virtual. Posters will be shown sequentially in a common Zoom session; presenters may briefly introduce their posters and take questions and comments.
The conference is co-organized by CMStatistics, CFENetwork, and ShanghaiTech University. The previous conference, EcoSta 2026, took place at Ryukoku University, Kyoto, Japan, with over 900 participants.
The main sponsors are Econometrics and Statistics (EcoSta), Computational Statistics & Data Analysis (CSDA), Annals of Computational and Financial Econometrics, and Annals of Statistical Data Science. Selected peer-reviewed papers will be considered for publication in special or regular issues of EcoSta and CSDA.
EcoSta has an impact factor of 3 (June 2026) and ranks Q1 in Statistics & Probability and Economics. CSDA has an impact factor of 1.7.

The conference invites oral and poster presentations containing substantial advances in econometrics and statistics. All topics within the scope of Econometrics and Statistics will be considered. Topics include, but are not limited to:
- Econometrics: estimation and inference, model selection, causal inference, panel data, measurement error, time series, filtering, forecasting, volatility and risk, credit and systemic risk, market microstructure, portfolio allocation and management, option pricing, quantitative risk management, high-dimensional econometrics, machine learning, network econometrics, and emerging markets.
- Statistics: high-dimensional and functional data, robust statistics, resampling, dependence, extreme value theory, spatial statistics, Bayesian methods, statistical and machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and large language models, nonparametric statistics, multivariate analysis, parametric and semiparametric models, numerical methods, data privacy, uncertainty quantification, and applications in medicine, epidemiology, biology, psychology, climatology, communication, and other areas. Innovative algorithms, software, and computational environments are also welcome.
- EcoSta 2027 will run for three and a half days, starting in the afternoon of 6 July.
- The conference will be partially hybrid. Only selected rooms will be live-streamed; the remaining sessions will be in person only.
- There is a strict limit of one presentation per participant.
- All participants, including invited speakers and session organizers, must register and pay the applicable registration fee.
- Registration fees are the same for in-person and virtual participation. There is no reduced fee for virtual presentations.
- Only registered participants will be included in the scientific programme. Presenting authors must register by their corresponding deadline.
- Contributed speakers may choose between in-person and virtual presentation. Invited speakers should coordinate their presentation mode with their session organizers.
- Access to virtual sessions is personal and non-transferable.
