CALL FOR PAPERS COMPUTATIONAL STATISTICS & DATA ANALYSIS 4th CSDA Special Issue on MATRIX COMPUTATIONS AND STATISTICS http://www.elsevier.com/locate/csda We are inviting submissions for the 4th special issue of Computational Statistics and Data Analysis dealing with Matrix Computations and Statistics. A number of interesting and important ideas have resulted from the relationship between matrix computations and statistics. Well known examples include the solution of least squares problems, computation of the singular value decomposition and its generalizations, tensor computations estimation of principal components, computation of canonical correlations, several cluster analysis algorithms, and the solution of total least squares problems. Applications of matrix computations and statistics in data mining, text mining, dimension reduction/feature extraction and machine learning are welcome. CSDA has published a series of issues in Matrix Computations and Statistics (41(1), 50(1), 54(12)), which can be found at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/01679473 Submissions for the 4th special issue should contain both a matrix computations and a statistics component. Authors who are uncertain about the suitability of their papers should contact the special issue editors. All submissions must contain original unpublished work not being considered for publication elsewhere. Submissions will be refereed according to standard procedures for Computational Statistics and Data Analysis. Information about the journal can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/csda. The deadline for submissions is 30 August 2024. However, papers can be submitted at any time; and, when they have been received, they will enter the editorial system immediately. Papers for the special issue should be submitted using the Elsevier Electronic Submission tool EM: https://www.editorialmanager.com/csda/. In the EM, please choose the special issue "Matrix Computations and Statistics" and the Co-Editor responsible for the special issues.
