COMPUTATIONAL STATISTICS AND DATA ANALYSIS http://www.elsevier.com/locate/csda FINAL CALL FOR PAPERS 2nd Special Issue on BIOSTATISTICS We are inviting submissions for the second special issue of Computational Statistics and Data Analysis (CSDA) devoted to advanced methods and innovative applications in the broad areas of biostatistics or biomedical statistics. Rapid advances in biomedical research have created new challenges and opportunities for statisticians. Just to name a few, precision medicine, biomedical big data, detection and treatment of rare diseases, statistical inference in observational studies and many other emerging fields have motivated statisticians world-wide to develop cutting-edge methods and analytical strategies. This special issue welcomes submissions focusing on modern statistical methodology related to any analytical issues arising from biomedical research. In particular, new methods or analytical strategies that directly address biomedical research questions or are motivated by real-world biomedical examples are strongly desired. The submission for consideration should involve a significant novel computational or advanced data analytic component in order to be considered for publication. In particular simulation papers will be considered only if they include a novel methodological component. Authors who are uncertain about the suitability of their papers should contact the special issue editors. All submissions must contain original unpublished work not being considered for publication elsewhere. Submissions will be refereed according to standard procedures for Computational Statistics Data Analysis. Information about the journal can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/csda. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2021. However, papers can be submitted at any time; and, when they have been received, they will enter the editorial system immediately. Papers for the special issue should be submitted using the Elsevier Editorial Manager tool EM: https://www.editorialmanager.com/csda/. In the EM please choose the special issue on Biostatistics, and the Co-Editor responsible for the special issues.
